Radiance Cinema

Leader
Overview
Radiance Cinema is an immersive filmmaking course provided by Ball State University's College of Communication, Information, and Media. The program seeks to allow production students, hands-on experience working on a set. The course has a semester where students learn to work on every role of a set, then in the following semester, they decide what role they want to participate in for creating a short film. Several short films are chosen to be produced. Those films are then shown at the Heartland International Film Festival.
My Contributions
This program was in its infancy at the time that I participated. I started working with Radiance Cinema in August of 2023 and continued working for the program as a leader until May of 2025. During my time at Radiance, I participated in many set roles and then worked specifically as a cinematographer, editor, colorist, gaffer, and digital imaging technician. While I went from role to role, the program recognized me as a leader. I was in charge of educating my peers and advocating the program.
